Privacy Policy

1. MySnookerStats.Com is committed to protecting your privacy. We adhere to the latest requirements of data protection legislation in the UK: GDPR and ePrivacy. The purpose of this statement is to explain to you what personal information we may collect and how we use it.

All Site Visitors: Cookies

2. We use a technology called “cookies” as part of normal website operation. A cookie is a small data file sent by our server to your web browser, which is then stored on your system. We use the following types:

  • (i) ESSENTIAL COOKIES

These cookies allow you to login to the registered users’ area and provide you with our best website experience possible.

  • (ii) ANALYTICS COOKIES:

We like to keep track of which pages on our site are popular and which ones don’t get used so much, to help us provide the best service we can. It also helps us to see how people navigate (find their way through) our site and when and where ‘error messages’ may originate.

This group of cookies, often called ‘analytics cookies’ are used to gather this information. The information collected is grouped with the information from everyone else’s cookies and is therefore anonymous. We can then see the overall patterns of usage rather than any one person’s activity.

We do not use this information to provide you with targeted advertising nor do we share information about your use of our site with any other companies. There is NO advertising on our site nor in our scoring apps.

Since these analytics cookies are non-essential, you may choose to opt out of receiving them.

You can opt out of Google Analytics everywhere by installing a Google-provided browser add-on: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout/

3. When you register with MySnookerStats.Com, we require only two pieces of personal information from you: a username you choose (which must be unique amongst the members on our website) and an email address for delivering your account management instructions and instructions for any future updates. Once your account is created, you can choose whether to opt in for further hints and tips emails and you can opt out at any time.

4. Google reCAPTCHA: Unfortunately we need to make use of the Google reCAPTCHA service to protect our “Sign Up” form submission from being (ab)used by spam bots. Thus we have this additional paragraph required in our policy:

The reCAPTCHA service provided by Google Inc. (Google) checks if you are a person in order to prevent certain website functions from being (ab)used by spam bots. This plugin query includes the sending of the IP address and possibly other data required by Google for the Google reCAPTCHA service. For this purpose your input will be communicated to and used by Google. However, your IP address is previously truncated by Google within member states of the European Union or in other states which are party to the agreement on the European Economic Area and is, as such, anonymized. Only in exceptional cases is a full IP address transmitted to a Google server in the United States and truncated there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of this service. The IP address provided by reCaptcha from your browser shall not be merged with any other data from Google. This data collection is subject to the data protection regulations of Google (Google Inc.). For more information about Google’s privacy policy, please visit: https://www.google.com/intl/en/policies/privacy/ By using the reCAPTCHA service, you consent to the processing of data about you by Google in the manner and for the purposes set out above.

We prompt you to consent to this one-time usage within our sign-up form.

5. If you choose to purchase a Premium Account with us, we use Paypal to handle your credit or debit card transactions directly and securely – MySnookerStats.Com never sees or stores any of your financial details.

6. When you upload details of snooker matches in which you and others have participated, we store and process this data to allow you to review it, and use it to learn about your strengths and weaknesses in the game of snooker. This data is treated as private, except where you choose to allow other users of the site to see your personal statistics – however, your opponent’s statistics from these matches remain private unless they similarly opt to allow other users to see them.
