I realise that there are lots of you out there eagerly awaiting the arrival of MySnookerStats on the Android Market, so it's high time I gave you an update on how it's progressing.

The app is taking shape, but because of the variety of phones which run Android, there is much more to do to try to guarantee that it looks good on as wide a range of those phones as possible.  That's not a problem I had with the iPhone of course, but that development took me the best part of a year...

I'm pencilliing in 30th June 2011 as the anticipated release date ("end-Q2").  If I can beat that, rest assured I will.  Until then, you'll have to continue to record matches on your opponents' phones or just carry your old Nokia to the club (and put a pay-as-you-go SIM in it).  Remember, a match upload on PAYG should cost you no more than one or two pence, depending on the exact tariff you're on. My £10 top-up still has £8.62 to run...
